ABout Our Therapists
Julia Hunt, LCSW, BCD
I have specialized in treating trauma and grief since 2003. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, I treated Active Duty troops and their families. I continued treating combat veterans while working for the VA. I am experienced in many trauma therapies, but I find my clients respond most rapidly to EMDR, Art Therapy techniques, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I started Vanover Counseling, Inc. in 2018 to serve people virtually. Since then, the practice has become more specialized in treating people in leadership positions with trauma in their past. I help leaders trust their judgment again so they make confident decisions about their staff, stakeholders, and policy. We also work together to create a life they love outside of their career. “I enjoy treating all ages and backgrounds. I'm a long-time military spouse so I relate to my veteran clients but enjoy working with everyone. For many years I've worked on base and in 2012, at Davis-Monthan AFB, I decided to become a therapist. My background working with families having their highs and lows helps me to see the clearest route towards healing and connection. I have a patient, non-judgmental and supportive approach. I use EMDR, CBT, Family Systems and various other therapies to help families and individuals heal.”
Rates and INsurances
Insurances We Take:
We accept private paying clients and provide SuperBills for you to send to your insurance for reimbursement. We are not accepting insurance at this time (unless you are a veteran).
Cost per session
$220 for 53 minute sessions for individuals.
$30 per group session; must pay for 8 sessions before your group begins.
Clients pay by credit card, all credit cards are accepted.
We will send you a receipt for services at any time in order for you to request reimbursement from your insurance.
SErvices Offered by VAnover Counseling, Inc.
Virtual Therapy
We love the privacy and convenience you have with a virtual session through our HIPPA Secure Portal. Sessions are 53 minutes long. You can connect on your computer or cell phone. $220 per session.
Phone Appointments
You may also receive counseling via a phone call with us up to 53 minutes. This is a good alternative when you don't have access to Wifi or Lan line and don't want to miss your appointment. $220 per session, 53 minutes.
